Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2008 🢒 XLR 🢒 Body Repair 🢒 Bolted Exterior Body Panels and Closures 🢒 Hood Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the front section of the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1217504 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the secondary hood latch cable (1) from the hood latch.
  4. Remove the bolts (2) attaching the secondary hood latch (3) from the front panel.
  5. Remove the secondary latch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1217504 Size: SH
  1. Install the secondary latch (3) to the front panel.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts (2) attaching the secondary latch (3) to the front panel.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the secondary latch cable (1) to the hood latch.
  4. Install the front section of the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  5. Close the hood.
