Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2008 🢒 XLR 🢒 Body Repair 🢒 Frame and Underbody 🢒 Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1760063 Size: SH
  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the engine oil level sensor (2).
  3. Remove the engine oil level sensor (2) from the oil pan.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the engine oil level sensor (2) into the oil pan.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the engine oil level sensor (2).
  3. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  4. Inspect for oil leaks after engine start up.
