1. No communication with the FTC module 2. Power folding top is inoperative 3. Power folding top does not open or complete the top opening procedure 4. Power folding top does not close or complete the top closing procedure 5. Rear Compartment lid will not open 6. Rear compartment lid will not close 7. DIC warning message displayed 8. Folding top will operate with the rear compartment partition removed 9. No effect on power folding top operation |
The folding top control (FTC) module checks the rear compartment lid open switch signal circuit at least once every 300 milliseconds. The FTC module compares the rear compartment lid open switch signal against the rear compartment lid ajar switch signal, a class 2 message from the body control module (BCM). When the folding top control switch is pressed to open or close the folding top, the rear compartment lid is released and a class 2 message is sent indicating the rear compartment lid is ajar. The FTC module will continue to raise the rear compartment lid upward until it is fully extended, closing the rear compartment lid open switch to voltage. The voltage is then applied through the rear compartment lid open switch and the signal circuit to the FTC module. Once this signal is received, the FTC module can continue to cycle the folding top operation.
The battery voltage is between 9-16 volts.
The FTC module monitors the rear compartment lid open switch signal and a class 2 message from the BCM the deck lid ajar switch status. The FTC module will set this DTC, if it senses that the rear compartment lid is open and does not receive the deck lid ajar message.
• | Stores a current and history DTC B3669 in the FTC module. |
• | The folding top operation is suspended. |
• | This DTC will clear on the current status after the condition for setting the fault is corrected. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present. |
The Rear Compartment Lid is also referenced as the Deck Lid for this vehicle.
