The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

The front roof header may not latch but may still be able to unlatch under its own power. This concern can be intermittent and is typically the result of a loose connector(s) at the solenoid control valve(s) of the hydraulic pump.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Locate the hydraulic pump in the rear compartment. Inspect the connectors of the solenoid on the hydraulic pump. Be sure the connectors are fully seated on to the solenoid(s).

Note: The connectors are commonly knocked loose during service or replacement of the hydraulic pump.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
