1. Driver Window Malfunction 2. Passenger Window Malfunction |
The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by door modules. The passenger door window can be operated either the driver master control built into the driver window switch or from the power window switch.
When the passenger door module (PDM) receives a window switch request from either the driver window switch or the passenger window switch, the PDM will examine the request and check for messages from other vehicle control modules prohibiting the window movement. If no prohibitive messages have been received, the door module will apply power and ground to its associated window motor to move the window as requested.
Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.
The PDM detects a short to ground in the passenger window UP signal circuit.
The PDM detects a short to ground in the passenger window DOWN signal circuit.
The PDM detects a short to ground in the passenger window EXPRESS DOWN signal circuit.
The PDM will ignore the affected input from the passenger window switch.
• | The DTC will be current for as long as the fault is present. |
• | When the fault is no longer present, the DTC will be a history DTC. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 50 ignition cycles. |

Ignition ON, command the passenger window UP and DOWN using the passenger door window switch. The passenger window should perform the UP and DOWN functions.
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit terminal listed below for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PDM. |
