Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.



2. Loosen the positive battery cable to the battery nut (1) and disconnect the positive battery cable (2) from the battery (3).



3. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt (1) and retainer (2).
4. Remove the battery.

1. Install the battery (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the battery hold down retainer (2) and bolt (1) and tighten to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).



3. Connect the positive battery cable (2) to the battery (3) and tighten nut 8 N·m (71 lb in).
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
