Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 XLR 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.6L (LH2) 🢒 Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    3. Object Number: 2141655 Size: SH
  3. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) nuts (1).

    4. Object Number: 2141659 Size: SH
  4. Lift the BPMV assembly (1) upward to disengage the BPMV insulators from the brake pressure modulator valve bracket.

    5. Support the BPMV assembly with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent.

  5. Remove the BPMV bracket bolts (1).

    6. Object Number: 2141666 Size: SH
  6. Remove the BPMV bracket (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2141666 Size: SH
  1. Install the BPMV bracket (1).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2141662 Size: SH
  2. Install the BPMV bracket bolts (1) and tighten to  27 N·m (20 lb ft).

    3. Object Number: 2141659 Size: SH
  3. Position the BPMV assembly (1) to the brake pressure modulator valve bracket.

    4. Object Number: 2141655 Size: SH
  4. Install the BPMV nuts (1) and tighten to  12 N·m (106 lb in).
