Starter Replacement LC3

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
2. Remove the supercharger assembly. Refer to Supercharger Replacement.
3. Disconnect the battery positive cable from the starter.
4. Disconnect the wire from the S terminal (4) on the starter.



5. Remove the starter motor bolts.
6. Remove the starter motor.

1. Install the starter motor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the starter motor bolts and tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).



3. Connect the wire and nut to the S terminal (4) on the starter and tighten nut to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
4. Connect the battery positive cable and nut to the starter terminal and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
5. Install the supercharger assembly. Refer to Supercharger Replacement.
6. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

Starter Replacement LH2

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
2. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement.



3. Disconnect the BAT cable from the starter.
4. Disconnect the wire from the S terminal (4) on the starter.



5. Remove the 2 starter motor mounting bolts.
6. Remove the starter motor.

1. Install the starter motor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the starter motor mounting bolts and tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
3. Connect the starter motor S terminal wire (4). Tighten the starter solenoid S terminal nut to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
4. Connect the starter motor BAT terminal wire. Tighten the battery cable to starter terminal nut to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
5. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement.
6. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
