Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch.
- Remove the engine oil pressure switch from the oil filter adapter using an oil pressure sender switch wrench (1 1/16") or equivalent.
Installation Procedure
- Install a new O-ring on the oil pressure switch.
- Install the engine oil pressure switch to the oil filter adapter using an oil pressure sender switch wrench (1 1/16") or equivalent and tighten to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Adjust the engine oil level to the full mark.
- Inspect for oil leaks after engine start up.
