Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement.
  2. Remove the wiper drive system module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 70093  Size: SH
  4. Using the J 39232 , disconnect the wiper transmission from the wiper motor crank arm.

  5. Object Number: 70104  Size: SH
  6. Remove the wiper transmission screws.
  7. Remove the wiper transmission from the wiper motor module assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 70104  Size: SH
  1. Position the wiper transmission to the wiper motor module assembly.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the wiper transmission screws and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Object Number: 70090  Size: SH
  5. Using the J 39529 , connect the wiper transmission to the wiper motor crank arm.
  6. Install the wiper drive system module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement.
  7. Note: If the washer fluid line is pulled upwards at the air inlet grill during service, this could cause interference between the line and the wiper system. The fluid line may have to be repositioned by removing the access panel at the lower rear of the wheelhouse.

  8. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement.
  9. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement.
