Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 800590 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Use hand tools to remove the nut from the bolt that you are replacing.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Open the hood.

    5. Object Number: 800588 Size: SH
  5. Use snap ring pliers to remove the spring clip.
  6. Remove the bolt.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 800588 Size: SH

    Note: Verify that you have selected a bolt of the proper length.

  1. Install the crossmember bolt.
  2. Use snap ring pliers to install the spring clip.

    3. Object Number: 800590 Size: SH
  3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install a new nut to the crossmember bolt and tighten the nut with hand tools to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
