Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 XLR 🢒 Body Repair 🢒 Frame and Underbody 🢒 Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1261654 Size: SH
  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1261684 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil level sensor.
  3. Remove the engine oil level sensor from the oil pan.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1261684 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine oil level sensor into the oil pan and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil level sensor.
  3. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement.
  4. Inspect for oil leaks after engine start up.
