Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1224608 Size: SH
  1. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement.
  2. Remove the retaining screw from the I/P dimmer/head-up display (HUD) switch assembly.
  3. Disconnect the HUD electrical connector.
  4. Remove the screws with secure the retaining switch to the bezel.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1224608 Size: SH
  1. Install the HUD switch to the I/P cluster bezel.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the HUD switch retaining screws and tighten to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
  3. Connect the I/P dimmer/HUD switch electrical connector.
  4. Install the HUD switch assembly to the I/P and tighten to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
  5. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement.
