Drive Line Vibration Dampener Replacement for Cadillac XLR 2009

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Remove the exhaust pipe lower hanger bolts to gain access to the dampener bolts. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement.
4. Remove the two dampener bolts (1).
5. Remove the dampener.

1. Position the dampener on the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the two dampener bolts (1) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
3. Install the exhaust pipe lower hanger bolts. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement.
