Removal Procedure
Place a protective cover over the sill plate and door trim panel and lower the folding top to provide additional space for seat removal.
Tilt the steering wheel full up, if required.
Disable the SIR system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling
.
Position the seat rearward.
Remove the push pins and covers from the front of the adjuster legs.
Remove the nuts from the front of the adjuster legs.
Position the seat forward.
Remove the nuts attaching the rear adjuster legs.
Disconnect the seat electrical connector.
Remove the seatbelt retaining nut and the seatbelt from the anchor stud.
Remove the seat.
Installation Procedure
Position the seat on the rear studs.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the seatbelt and the retaining nut to the seat stud and tighten to
41 N·m (31 lb ft)
.
Lift the front of the seat and connect the electrical connector.
Install the nut to the rear inboard stud.
Install the nut to the rear outboard stud and tighten to
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
.
Move the seat rearward.
Install the nuts to the front adjuster legs and tighten to
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
.
Install the adjuster leg covers.
Secure the covers with push pins.
Enable the SIR system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling
.
Remove the protective cover and raise the folding top.
