NO HEAT FROM AIR DUCTS (REPLACE HEATER CONTROL ASSY.)

SUBJECT: NO HEAT FROM AIR DUCTS (REPLACE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY)

MODELS: 1996 CHEVROLET AND GMC M/L MODELS

CONDITION:

SOME OWNERS MAY EXPERIENCE A LOSS OF HEAT AND ONLY COLD AIR OUT OF THE AIR DUCTS.

CAUSE:

THE INTERNAL ACTUATOR ARM OF THE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY MAY HAVE SEPARATED FROM THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB CAM ALLOWING THE TEMPERATURE SETTING TO REMAIN IN THE COLD POSITION.

CORRECTION:

REPLACE THE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY.

SERVICE PROCEDURE REFER TO THE 1996 M/L VAN SERVICE MANUAL FOR THE PROPER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE.
