Did you perform the HVAC Blower Controls System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Turn the mode switch out of the OFF position.
  3. Turn the fan switch to the LO position.

Does the blower motor operate in the LO position?

--

Go to Step 3

Turn the fan switch slowly from the LO position to the M1 position.

Does the blower motor operate in the M1 position?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor and relay pack connector C2.
  2. Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from CKT 60 (YEL) cavity E to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Turn the fan switch slowly from the M1 position to the M2 position.

Does the blower motor operate in the M2 position?

--

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor and relay pack connector C2.
  2. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from CKT 63 (TAN) cavity D to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Use a test lamp J 35616-200 in order to backprobe from the HVAC control module connector C2 CKT 60 (YEL) cavity A to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 11

Replace the blower motor resistor and relay pack.

Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

  1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor and relay pack connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from CKT 72 (LT BLU) cavity F to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 14

Use a test lamp J 35616-200 in order to backprobe from the HVAC control module connector C2 CKT 63 (TAN) cavity B to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 13

Go to Step 11

Replace the HVAC control module.

Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

Repair the open in CKT 60 (YEL) between the HVAC control module and the blower motor resistor and relay pack.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 63 (TAN) between the HVAC control module and the blower motor resistor and relay pack.

Is the repair complete?

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

Use a test lamp J 35616-200 in order to backprobe from the HVAC control module connector C2 CKT 72 (LT BLU) cavity C to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 15

Repair the open in CKT 72 (LT BLU) between the HVAC control module and the blower motor resistor and relay pack.

Is the repair complete?
