  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Disconnect the rear heater switch connector.

Did the rear heater blower motor stop running?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the rear heater switch.

Refer to Control Switch Replacement - Auxiliary in Heating and Ventilation (Non-A/C).

Is the repair complete?

Disconnect the rear heater resistor pack.

Did the rear heater blower motor stop running?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from the rear heater switch CKT 1925 (RED) cavity B to ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 1924 (WHT) or CKT 1172 (YEL) between the rear heater blower motor and the rear heater switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 1925 (RED) between the rear heater resistor pack and the rear heater switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 1926 (DK BLU) between the rear heater resistor pack and the rear heater switch.

Is the repair complete?
