Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the four screws the retain the instrument panel cluster
to the instrument panel.
- Gently pull the instrument
cluster straight out.
Installation Procedure
- Install the instrument
cluster to the instrument panel:
1.1. | Set the cluster in place in the instrument panel. |
1.2. | Align the cluster with the electrical connector on the instrument
panel. |
1.3. | Gently press the cluster in order to seat the cluster into the
instrument panel and onto the electrical connector. |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the four
screws that retain the instrument cluster tot he instrument panel.
Tighten
Tighten the four screws that retain the instrument cluster tot he instrument
panel 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the instrument cluster trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement
