Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement



2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
3. Use the J 38185 tool in order to remove the hose clamps.
4. Remove the hose support clamps (4), the brackets (5), and/or the retainers, as necessary.
5. Disconnect the inlet (3) and the outlet (2) hoses from the heater core.
6. Disconnect the inlet (3) and the outlet (2) hoses from the water valve.

1. Connect the inlet (3) and the outlet (2) hoses to the water valve.
2. Connect the inlet (3) and the outlet (2) hoses to the heating core.
3. Install the hose support clamps (4), the brackets (5), and/or the retainers.
4. Use the J 38185 tool in order to install the hose clamps.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
6. Ensure that no leaks exist in the cooling system.
7. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
