  1. Disconnect the park brake warning switch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to run.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the park brake warning switch connector LT BLU (1134) cavity A wire to ground.

Does the brake indicator light?

  1. Check for improper adjustment of the park brake warning switch.
  2. If OK, replace the park brake warning switch.

Check for open in LT BLU (1134) wire between the daytime running lamp module and the park brake warning switch.

Does an open exist?

  1. Disconnect the brake pressure warning switch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to run.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from brake pressure warning switch connector PPL (680) wire cavity A to ground.

Does the brake indicator light?

Connect a fused jumper from the brake pressure warning switch connector PPL (680) wire cavity A to BLK (650) wire cavity B.

  2. Connect a fused jumper from TAN/WHT (33) wire cavity F to ground.

  1. Disconnect Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Module connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper from Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Module TAN/WHT (33) wire cavity E to TAN/WHT (33) wire cavity F.

Does the brake indicator light?

Locate and repair open in TAN/WHT (33) wire between Daytime Running Lamp Module and Electronic Brake Control Module.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect connector C201
  2. Connect a DMMJ 39200 from the steering column C201 connector BLK (750) wire cavity B2 to ground.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 24

Locate and repair open in BLK (750) wire between C201 and G110.

Is the repair complete?

--

Connect a fused jumper Between C201 LT BLU (1134) wire cavity B5 and ground.

Does the brake warning indicator light?

  1. Disconnect the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Module.
  2. Connect DMMJ 39200 from the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Module LT BLU (1134) wire cavity B to ground.
  3. Momentarily turn the Ignition switch to the CRANK position

Is there continuity?

Locate and repair open in LT BLU (1134) wire between daytime running lamp module and C201 connector.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering.

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster.
  2. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from instrument cluster connector PNK (39) wire B17 to ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect the instrument cluster.
  2. Disconnect the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Module.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from TAN/WHT (33) wire cavity E to ground.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to Run

Locate and repair open in PNK (39) wire between I/P fuse block and instrument cluster.

  1. Disconnect the IP Cluster.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from CKT 39 (PNK) cavity B17 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a test lamp from CKT 39 (PNK) cavity B17 to CKT 33 (TAN/WHT) cavity A13.
  2. Apply the Park Brake.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Release the Park Brake.
  2. Reconnect the Instrument Cluster.
  3. Disconnect the Brake Pressure Warning Switch.
  4. Connect a fused jumper from CKT 680 (PPL) cavity A to CKT 650 (BLK) cavity B.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.

Does the Brake Waning Indicator illuminate?

Replace the IP Cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

  1. Disconnect the Park Brake Indicator Switch Connector.
  2. Turn Ignition Switch to RUN.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from TAN/WHT (33) wire at the Park Brake Indicator Switch Connector to ground.

Does the Brake Indicator light?
