Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
- Remove the radio or the instrument panel storage compartment.

- Disconnect the remote
keyless entry receiver electrical connector.
- Remove the screws retaining the control module to the carrier.
- Remove the module from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the keyless entry
control module to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws retaining the control
module to the carrier.
Tighten
Tighten the screws retaining the control module to the carrier to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Connect the remote keyless entry receiver electrical connector.
- Install the radio, or the instrument panel storage compartment
to the vehicle. Refer to
Radio Replacement
in Entertainment, or
Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement
in Instrument Panel and Gauges.
- Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
- Reprogram the transmitter. Refer to
Transmitter Programming
.
- Verify that the system operates properly.
