  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Turn the hazard flashed switch OFF.
  3. Place a turn signal ON.

Does the turn signal operate?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative

  1. Place the turn signal in the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the turn/hazard (part of C201).
  3. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from CKT 140 cavity E8 at C201 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Reconnect the turn signal switch.
  2. Turn the hazard flashers ON.
  3. Use a test lampJ 35616-200 to backprobe CKT 61 (LT GRN) cavity E1 at the connector C201 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 140 (ORN) from the turn signal switch to the instrument panel fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 62 (LT GRN) between the turn signal switch and S208.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic table. Standard disassembly Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle . Standard assembly Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle . Tilt disassembly Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle . Tilt assembly Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

Is the fuse functional?

Locate and repair overload and replace Stop/HAZ Fuse.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Place Ignition Switch in the RUN position
  2. Turn Hazard Flasher Switch OFF.
  3. Place a Turn Signal ON.

Do Turn Signals operate?

  1. Place Turn Signal in OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the Turn/HazardSwitch (part of C201).
  3. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from ORN (140) wire cavity E8 at C201 to ground.

Does Test lamp light?

  1. Reconnect the Turn Signal Switch.
  2. Turn Hazard Flashers ON.
  3. Using a test lampJ 35616-200 , backprobe LT GRN (62) wire cavity E1 at Connector C201 to ground.

LOCATE and REPAIR open in ORN (140) wire from Turn Signal Switch to I/P Fuse Block.

Is the Repair Complete?

LOCATE and REPAIR open in LT BLU (1508) wire between Turn Signal Switch and S208.

Is the Repair complete?

Replace Turn/Hazard Switch Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
