Did you perform the Washer/Wiper Rear System Check?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Use a J 39200 in order to backprobe from CKT 143 (YEL) cavity E4 at the steering column connector C201 to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. Place the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the front pulse wiper/washer switch at connector C201.
  3. Place the wiper/washer switch in the LO position.
  4. Use a J 39200 in order to measure the resistance of the front pulse wiper/washer switch from CKT 96 (GRY) cavity E5 to CKT 143 (YEL) cavity E4 at the C201 connector.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

600ohms-750ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 143 from the front pulse wiper/washer switch at the C201 connector to the instrument panel fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Ensure that the J 39200 is still connected.
  2. Move the front pulse wiper/washer switch from the LO position back through all of the delay settings one step at a time down to the maximum delay setting.

Are the resistance readings within 20% of the specified values respectively?

    • 30K
    • 68K
    • 150K
    • 240K
    • 430K

Replace the front pulse wiper/washer switch Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the front pulse wiper/washer switch at the C201 connector.
  2. Disconnect the front wiper motor and module.
  3. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  4. Place the wiper/washer switch in the LO position.
  5. Connect a J 39200 between CKT 96 (BRN) cavity E at the front wiper motor and module and ground.

Is battery voltage present?

Replace the front wiper switch Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

Is the repair complete?

Connect a J 39200 from the front wiper motor and module CKT 143 (YEL) cavity C and ground.

Is battery voltage present?

--

Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from CKT 750 (BLK) cavity B to CKT 143 (YEL) cavity C at the front wiper motor and module.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Use a J 39200 in order to backprobe the front pulse wiper/washer switch at the C201 connector CKT 96 (BRN) cavity E5 to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

--

Repair the open in CKT 143 (YEL) between splice S324 and the front wiper motor and module.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the front wiper motor and module Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 750 (BLK) between the front wiper motor and module and ground.
