Depressing the washer switch supplies the voltage to the solid-state control board in the rear window wiper/washer module to enable the wiper motor to operate for a few strokes while the washer pump is operating and shortly thereafter. The wiper switch supplies the battery voltage to the rear washer pump through CKT 392 (DK GRN). The pump grounds through CKT 350 (BLK) to G100.
The wiper system has the following features:
• | ON |
• | DELAY |
The rear window wiper/washer system includes an operating mode in which the wiper makes single strokes with a time interval between the strokes. The solid-state rear window wiper/washer module controls the time interval. In the ON position, the rear window wiper/washer switch supplies the voltage to the window wiper/washer module through CKT 391 (GRY). The rear window wiper/washer module provides the ground from ground G402. The ground goes through CKT 1540 (BLK) for the rear window wiper system. With the rear window wiper/washer switch in the DELAY position, the battery supplies voltage from CKT 97 (LT BLU) and CKT 391 (GRY). When the battery voltage is present the wiper runs at the non-adjustable delay interval. When the rear window wiper/washer switch turns to the OFF position, the wiper completes the last sweep and stops in the PARK position.
