Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the passenger's knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
  2. Important: Do not remove the instrument panel to replace right or right center knee bolster brackets.

  3. Roll the instrument panel down. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 368286  Size: SH
  5. Remove the knee bolster bracket right side screws.
  6. Remove the knee bolster bracket right side.

  7. Object Number: 368292  Size: SH
  8. Remove the knee bolster bracket right center screws.
  9. Remove the knee bolster bracket right center.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 368292  Size: SH
  1. Install the knee bolster bracket right center.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the knee bolster bracket right center screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the knee bolster bracket right center screws to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the knee bolster bracket right side.

  9. Roll the instrument panel up. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .
  10. Install the passenger's knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
