  1. Inspect the defroster nozzle.
  2. Remove any foreign objects
  3. Repair any loose instrument panel pad that blocks an outlet.

  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Move the temperature control knob from extreme cold to extreme hot one step at a time.
  3. Check vacuum source to defroster air valve vacuum actuator.
  4. Monitor the defroster air valve vacuum actuator.

Does the shaft move when moving the knob?

  1. The problem is not electrical.
