Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2000 🢒 Astro - 2WD 🢒 HVAC 🢒 Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning 🢒 Mode Valve Actuator Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the passenger knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauge and Console.
  2. Remove the cowl side trim panel. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    3. Important: Note the color and the location of the vacuum lines at the actuator.

  3. Remove the vacuum lines.
  4. Slide the actuator off the mounting bracket in order to remove the actuator.
  5. Rotate the mode door linkage down.

    6. Object Number: 499372 Size: SH
  6. Rotate the actuator so that the actuator linkage slips off the post on the mode door linkage.
  7. Remove the actuator from the mode door linkage.

Installation Procedure
  1. Rotate the actuator mode door linkage down.

    2. Object Number: 499372 Size: SH
  2. Rotate the actuator so that the actuator linkage slips over the post on the mode door linkage.
  3. Install the actuator linkage to the mode door linkage.
  4. Slide the actuator onto the mounting bracket in order to install the actuator.

    5. Press the actuator firmly into place in order to fully seat the fastener.

  5. Install the vacuum connector.
  6. Install the right cowl side trim panel. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the right knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauge and Console.
