Did you review the HVAC operation and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Place the rear heater switch in LOW.
  3. Using a test lamp backprobe from the rear heater resistor pack CKT 1926 (DK BLU) cavity C to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Inspect for a poor connection at the rear heater resistor pack.

Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Does a poor connection exist?

--

Go to Step 9

Using a test lamp backprobe from the rear heater switch CKT 1926 (DK BLU) cavity F to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Replace the rear heater resistor pack.

Repair the open in CKT 1926 (DK BLU).

Inspect for a poor connection at the rear heater switch.
