Did you review the Driver Information Center Description and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between the ambient air temperature sensor CKT 735 (LT GRN/BLK) cavity A and CKT 550 (BLK) cavity B.

Does the display read SC?

Connect a fused jumper wire from the ambient air temperature sensor CKT 735 (LT GRN/BLK) cavity A to ground.

Does the display read SC?

Go to Step 6

Inspect for a poor connection at the ambient air temperature sensor connector.

Did you find a poor connection?

--

Go to Step 10

Replace the ambient air temperature sensor. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Replacement in Body Rear End.

Did you complete the replacement?

Repair the open in CKT 550 (BLK) between the ambient air temperature sensor and ground G105/G107.

Backprobe a fused jumper from CKT 735 (LT GRN/BLK) cavity D at the compass and temperature display module connector to ground.

Does the display read SC?

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 735 (LT GRN/BLK).

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the compass and temperature display module. Refer to Driver Information Center Module Replacement .

Repair poor connection at the ambient air temperature sensor connector.
