Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel and Gauges.

  2. Object Number: 506272  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the remote keyless entry antenna (2) from the receiver (5).
  4. Disconnect the remote keyless entry electrical connector (4) from the receiver (5).
  5. Remove the remote keyless entry module screws from the bracket (3).
  6. Remove the remote keyless entry module from the carrier.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the remote keyless entry module to the carrier.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the remote keyless entry module screws to the bracket (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the remote keyless entry module screws to the bracket (3) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the remote keyless entry antenna (2) to the receiver (5).
  6. Connect the remote keyless entry electrical connector (4) to the receiver (5).
  7. Install the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel and Gauges.
  8. Reprogram the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming .
  9. Verify that the system operates properly.
