Did you perform the Horn Diagnostic System Check?

Remove the horn relay.

Did the horns turn OFF?

Connect a DMM between the horn relay CKT 28 (BLK) cavity H6 to ground.

Did you find continuity?

Repair the short to battery voltage in CKT 29 (DK GRN).

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the horn relay.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Disconnect the horn switch connector.
  2. Use an ohmmeter in order to probe between cavity H6 at the convenience center to ground.

Did you find continuity?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 28 (BLK) in the following locations:

    • Between the horn switch and the convenience center
    • In the horn brush/horn slip ring

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the horn switch.
