Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 300221  Size: SH
  3. The rear bench seat release lever is a 2 stage mechanism. In order to release the latch, 2 levels of lift effort are required:
  4. 2.1. A low lift effort to overcome the first stage
    2.2. A second lift effort in order to fully release the latch mechanism

  5. Release the latch mechanism.
  6. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle.

  7. Object Number: 300227  Size: SH
  8. Remove the rear bench seat riser cover trim.

  9. Object Number: 300226  Size: SH
  10. Remove the seat riser bolts from the rear bench seat.
  11. Remove the seat risers from the rear bench seat.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 300226  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear bench seat risers to the seat.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear bench seat riser bolts to the seat.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear bench seat riser bolts to the seat to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the rear bench seat riser cover trim.
  6. Install the rear bench seat in the vehicle:
  7. 4.1. Lift the rear bench seat into position.
    4.2. Lower the front hooked retainers onto the anchor pins in the floor anchor plates.

  8. Lower the rear bench seat latch onto their anchor pins in the anchor plates.
  9. Verify that the rear bench seat is securely latched by pulling up on the seat.
