Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Object Number: 314653 Size: SH
  2. Remove the floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  3. Remove the bolts from the brackets:
    4. 3.1. Loosen the bolt.
    3.2. Rotate the bracket out of the way.

  4. Remove the latches.

    5. Object Number: 314655 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws.

    6. Object Number: 314654 Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine cover.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 314654 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine cover.

    2. Object Number: 314655 Size: SH
  2. Install the screws to the engine cover.

    3. Do not fully tighten the screws.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 314658 Size: SH
  3. Install the latch screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the latch screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  4. Install the engine cover bolts to the brackets.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the engine cover bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Insert the floor air outlet duct. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  6. Insert the instrument panel extension. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
