Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .
  3. Remove the lower fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 48320  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the radiator hoses from the radiator.
  6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement in Automatic Transmission.
  7. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 48317  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the coolant recovery reservoir hose from the radiator filler neck.

  10. Object Number: 108126  Size: SH
  11. Remove the radiator grille.
  12. Remove the four bolts attaching the A/C condenser to the radiator. Refer to Condenser Replacement in HVAC.
  13. Remove the radiator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 108126  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator.
  2. Install the four bolts attaching the A/C condenser to the radiator. Refer to Condenser Replacement in HVAC.
  3. Install the radiator grille.

  4. Object Number: 48317  Size: SH
  5. Connect the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the radiator filler neck.
  6. Connect the engine oil cooler lines to the connector fittings. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  7. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines into the connector fittings. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement in Automatic Transmission.

  8. Object Number: 48320  Size: SH
  9. Connect the radiator inlet hose and the outlet hose to the radiator.
  10. Install the lower fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .
  11. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .
  12. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  13. Check engine oil fluid level. Fill to proper level.
  14. Leak test the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing .
  15. Start engine. Run vehicle to normal operating temperature. Check transmission oil fluid level. Fill to proper level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check in Automatic Transmission.
  16. Check for oil and transmission fluid leaks.
