Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 166  Size: SH
  5. Remove the rotor (RWD). Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement in Front Suspension.

  6. Object Number: 156  Size: SH
  7. Remove the rotor (F4WD).
  8. Inspect all of the parts. Replace any damaged or corroded parts.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 156  Size: SH
  1. Install the rotor to the hub and bearing assembly (F4WD).

  2. Object Number: 166  Size: SH
  3. Install the rotor to the steering knuckle (RWD). Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement in Front Suspension.
  4. Install the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Important: Pump the brake pedal until it is firm before moving the vehicle. Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder after pumping the brakes. If necessary, fill the reservoir to the proper level.
