Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 344813 Size: SH
  1. Remove the door frame garnish molding.

    2. Refer to Rear Door Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector under the headliner.
  3. Remove the center high-mounted stoplamp (CHMSL) retaining screws.
  4. Remove the CHMSL from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 344910 Size: SH
  1. Install the CHMSL to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the CHMSL retaining screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the CHMSL retaining screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector under the headliner.
  4. Install the rear door frame garnish molding.

    5. Refer to Rear Door Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
