• | Verify the proper insertion. |
• | Inspect the disc for scratches, dirt, or fingerprints. |
| Clean the disc, as necessary. |
• | Duplicate the complaint condition on a good road surface. |
• | Verify the complaint condition using a known good disc, preferably
a new disc. |
• | Service the radio, if previous actions do not determine the cause
of the condition. Refer to
Radio Replacement

The CD player displays ERR or ejects the disc.

• | Verify the proper insertion. |
• | Inspect the disc for dirt, scratches or wetness. |
| ERR appears if moisture condenses on the disc, if a cold disc is inserted
in a hot disc player, or if a hot disc is inserted in a cold disc player. |
• | Allow one hour for the evaporation of any moisture. |
• | Verify the complaint condition using a known good disc, preferably
a new disc. |
• | Verify the complaint condition with the customer. |
• | Determine whether very high internal temperatures in the instrument
panel cause the ejection of the disc. |
• | Service the radio, if previous actions do not determine the cause
