  1. Disconnect the remote audio player.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ACCY position.
  3. Turn the radio on.
  4. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from the remote audio player connector cavity 15 to cavity 13.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the radio connector C3.
  3. Connect a digital multimeter J 39200 (DMM) from the remote audio player connector cavity 15 to the radio connector C3 cavity 15 for CKT 1140 (ORN).

Is there continuity?

Go to Step 4

Connect a DMMJ 39200 from the remote audio player connector cavity 13 to the radio connector cavity 13 for CKT 1050 (BLK).

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

  1. Remove the remote audio player Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement .
  2. Send in the remote audio player for repair.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1140 (ORN) between the radio and the remote audio player.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a DMMJ 39200 from the remote audio player connector CKT 1405 (LT BLU) between the radio and the remote audio player.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in CKT 1050 (BLK) between the radio and the remote audio player.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1405 (LT BLU) between the radio and the remote audio player.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect the radio connector C3.
  2. Connect te remote audio player connector.
  3. Turn the key to ACCY position.
  4. Insert a CD into the remote audio player.
  5. Use a DMMJ 39200 in order to backprobe remote audio connector CKT 1405 (LT BLU) cavity 12.

Is voltage present?

  1. Remove the radio Radio Replacement .
  2. Send in the radio for repair.
