Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 284661  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screw that retains the module to the bracket.
  5. Use the following method in order to remove the module from the mounting bracket:
  6. 4.1. Slide the module forward
    4.2. Pull the module down
  7. Remove the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 284661  Size: SH
  1. Install the electrical connector.
  2. Install the module to the mounting bracket.
  3. Install the screw in order to retain the module to the bracket.

  4. Install the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
