Did you perform the Outside Mirrors System Check?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

1. Disconnect the left outside rearview power mirror.
2. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from CKT 89 (LT GRN) cavity D at the left outside power mirror to ground.
3. Press the switch in the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

1. Using a test lampJ 35616-200 backprobe CKT 89 (LT GRN) from the outside rearview mirror remote control switch to ground.
2. Press the outside rearview mirror remote control switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 4

Replace the outside rearview mirror control switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

1. Connect a test lamp from CKT 1496 (YEL) wire cavity B at left outside power mirror to ground.
2. Press the switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Locate and repair an open in CKT 89 (LT GRN) between the outside power mirror and the outside rearview mirror control switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

Replace the left outside power mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

Locate and repair open in CKT 1496 (YEL) between left outside power mirror and S501.

Is the repair complete?
