Go to Power Door Locks System Check

1. Use a test lampJ 35616-200 in order to backprobe CKT 195 (LT BLU) cavity A at the liftgate lock/unlock release switch to ground.
2. Insert the key in the liftgate lock cylinder.
3. Turn the key toward the lock position.

Does the test lamp light?

Is the lock function inoperative by the liftgate lock/unlock switch?

1. Use a test lampJ 35616-200 in order to backprobe CKT 194 (WHT) cavity B at the liftgate lock/unlock release switch to ground.
2. Turn the key in the lock cylinder toward the unlock position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 195 (LT BLU) between the liftgate lock/unlock release switch and splice S232.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Use a test lampJ 35616-200 in order to backprobe CKT 640 (ORN) cavity D at the liftgate lock/unlock release switch to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 194 (WHT) between the liftgate lock/unlock release switch and splice S231.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

--

Replace the liftgate lock/unlock release switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Repair the open in CKT 640 (ORN) between the instrument panel fuse block and the liftgate lock/unlock release switch.
