Power Door Locks Inoperative - Rear Door Liftgate

  1. Disconnect the rear door lock motor connector at the door latch.
  2. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 between the TAN (294) wire cavity A of the motor connector and ground.
  3. Press any of the door lock switches to the Unlock position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in CKT 294 (TAN) between the rear door lock motor and splice S334.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

  1. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 between the GRY (295) wire cavity B of the motor connector and ground.
  2. Press any of the door lock switches to the lock position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 295 (GRY) between the rear door lock motor and splice S335.

Is the repair complete?

--

Replace the rear door lock motor.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver.
  2. Press any of the door lock switches to the unlock position.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the remote control door lock receiver CKT 246 (TAN) wire cavity G to ground. Keep the jumper connected for the remainder of this test.

Does the rear power door lock motor lock?

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the rear door lock motor connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from CKT 295 (GRY) wire cavity A to ground with either power door lock switch held in the lock position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

  1. Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 between CKT 246 (TAN) wire cavity B and CKT 295 (GRY) wire cavity A at the rear door lock motor.
  2. Press any of the door lock switches to the lock position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the open in CKT 295 (GRY) wire between the rear door lock motor and S316.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Replace the rear door lock motor.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 246 (TAN) wire from the rear door lock motor connector to the remote control door lock receiver connector.
