  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector and remove the connector combs.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Connect a test lamp between the ignition 1 voltage circuit and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the ignition 1 voltage circuit and the ground circuit (terminal B4).

Connect a test lamp between the ignition 3 voltage circuit and a good ground.

Repair the open, high resistance or short to ground in the ignition 3 voltage circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
