Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the battery negative cable.
- Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement
in Instrument
Panel and Gages.
- Remove the switch from the plate by using the following procedure:
3.1. | Release the retaining tabs on the sides of the switch. |
3.2. | Pull the switch out of the plate. |
3.3. | Disconnect the electrical connector(s) at the back of the headlamp
switch. |
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical connector(s) to the back of the switch.
- Install the headlamp switch
to the plate by snapping the switch into place.
- Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement
in Instrument
Panel and Gages.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
