Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  2. Remove the radio antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement .
  3. Remove the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Remove the antenna cable mounting bolts.
  5. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  6. Important: Do not remove the instrument panel.

  7. Roll the instrument panel back. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  8. Object Number: 306871  Size: SH
  9. Remove the antenna cable from the clip at the HVAC module.

  10. Object Number: 306872  Size: SH
  11. Remove the antenna through the grommet on the cowl.
  12. Remove the antenna cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the antenna cable to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 306872  Size: SH
  3. Install the antenna cable though the grommet on the cowl.

  4. Object Number: 306871  Size: SH
  5. Install the antenna cable to the clip at the HVAC module.
  6. Roll the instrument panel up. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  7. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  8. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  9. Install the antenna mounting bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna mounting bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  12. Install the radio antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement .
  13. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  14. Verify component operation.
