When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Condition/Concern:
Dome light is inoperative on models equipped with rear hatch and dutch doors.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The rear hatch dome lamp switch has been eliminated for 2001 and subsequent model vans with dutch doors (RPO E54). The dome lamp will not illuminate when the rear doors are opened. Repairs should not be attempted to correct complaints of "no dome lamp operation when the rear hatch is opened." On vehicles with the cargo door, the dome lamp WILL illuminate when the rear doors are opened.
