Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left cowl side trim panel. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 321603  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws that retain the hood release lever to the cowl side trim panel.

  4. Object Number: 321600  Size: SH
  5. Remove the hood release cable from the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement .

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 321600  Size: SH
  1. Install the hood release cable to the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 321603  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screws that retain the hood release lever to the cowl side trim panel.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hood release lever screws to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the left cowl side trim panel. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
