Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 712138 Size: SH
  3. Remove the control rod (1) from the door lock.
  4. Remove the door handle nuts (2).

    5. Object Number: 712143 Size: SH
  5. Remove the door handle from the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 712143 Size: SH
  1. Install the door handle to the door.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 712138 Size: SH
  2. Install the door handle nuts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

    Important: Install new control rod retainers whenever they are removed.

  3. Install the control rod to the door handle (1).
  4. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement .
