Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 567876  Size: SH
  1. Remove cruise control cable from throttle body lever.

  2. Object Number: 567789  Size: SH

    Important: Do not allow the cruise control ribbon to retract into the module assembly

  3. Remove the cruise control cable bead (2) from the end of the ribbon (1).
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from cruise module.

  5. Object Number: 293665  Size: SH
  6. Remove the cruise control module bolts.
  7. Remove the cruise control module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 293665  Size: SH
  1. Install the cruise control module.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the cruise control module bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the cruise control module bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to cruise module.

  6. Object Number: 567789  Size: SH
  7. Install cruise control cable bead (2) to ribbon (1).

  8. Object Number: 567876  Size: SH
  9. Install cruise control cable to throttle body lever.
  10. Perform the functional check.
